Two of my (inanimate) best friends have received so much of flak over the years, with the help of this article I will try to defend them, like a true friend should.

I love my sleep so much that I have a ritual set aside for it. On most days my friends won’t be able to reach me post 10:30 pm, because I would have dozed off by then and I get up in the morning by around 7 am, everyday. I have seen so many YouTube videos where success gurus go like sleep less, live more. I think to live more you need to sleep more, if you get a good sleep every night you won’t feel drowsy during the day and not go about the day like a robot.

Fun facts about how sleeping could help you:-

The obvious one is that sleep gives your body the rest it needs. Adequate sleep could also help in regulating your stress hormones which would in turn keep your weight in check. There are some theories which suggest that Dementia and Alzheimer’s could be related to deprived sleep.

This should convince you to be mindful of your sleep and invest time for it, just like you invest your time on Netflix, Prime or if you are like me on Telegram.

Potatoes can literally go along with any vegetable or curry you make, even after that we use it in terms like “couch potato”, why would you do that? Potatoes are delicious and you can have them on their own as well. What could go wrong however is how and when we consume it. You could have fries with your burger or mashed potatoes with curd. Don’t blame a vegetable for your wrong eating choices. No food is bad, in my opinion if consumed correctly.

The next time somebody calls you a sleepyhead or a couch potato, take it as a compliment!
